ELT Committee Minutes 2-7-07

Posted by jwasson on 8th February 2007

The ELT committee members met with Helen Civian and Trina Abbott from Mass 20-20. Helen has worked with a number of schools involved with ELT including the Salemwood. Mr. DeVito asked her to go over the timeline for this initiative. Dates are approximate-

Soon -we should hear back from DOE regarding our ELT plan draft with feedback and suggestions for writing the April proposal.

Helen will assist us with writing the April proposal. She is also available to help with attaining professional partnerships etc. if needed.

Soon- a bargaining team will meet with Gerry Ruane to begin the union talks.

4/17-22 proposal due to DOE

Helen thinks we may hear a decision from the DOE by the end of May.

Again, there is much work to be done on many fronts before the April proposal is submitted.

Bob Simpson is working to make the blog more accessible.

If you have not had the opportunity-committee members have the draft for you to read.

Results from the Teacher Technology Compentency Survey conducted in January, 2007 are now complete. The purpose of the survey was to evaluate trends in technology use and plan future professional development opportunities. Teachers and staff were asked about a wide range of technology integration tasks by completing an online survey posted on the Survey Monkey website. The response rate was 88% based on a total of 102.
There are two ways to review the data.
